An amendment to the UAE Labor Law (federal Law number 33 of 2021) was issued under federal law number 14 of 2022, whereby the maximum period of limited term employment agreements set at 3 years was removed.
Therefore, the employer and the employee are still not entitled to enter into an unlimited term agreement. However, the limited term agreement can be for any period agreed upon between the parties. The employer and employee can then decide to renew the agreement
