Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Guernsey Finance, have entered into a collaboration to stimulate growth and innovation in the finance sector. The CEOs of both entities, Arif Amiri (DIFC Authority) and Rupert Pleasant (Guernsey Finance) signed an agreement to facilitate joint efforts in developing the financial services industry through digital and in-person events, talent nurturing, and knowledge exchange. This partnership aims to enhance the connection between the two International Financial Centres (IFCs), promoting global collaboration, supporting investment flows, and safeguarding investors. Guernsey, known for its wealth management services and as a significant Captive jurisdiction, has historical ties with various international firms. The signing occurred during Guernsey Finance’s participation in the COP28 conference in Dubai, where discussions revolved around the finance sector’s role in achieving net zero and building a resilient future through balanced regulation.
