The Saudi Central Bank – SAMA has granted licenses to “Network International Arabia” for point-of-sale (POS) payment services and “Barraq” for e-wallet services. This brings the total number of licensed payment service providers in Saudi Arabia to 27. SAMA’s decision is in line with its commitment to enhance the payments sector, improve the effectiveness of financial transactions, and encourage innovative financial solutions to promote financial inclusion in the country.
